The Maldives Journal, Day 5: Chilli farming

We went by speedboat to Kalaidhoo and did a little sightseeing tour before congregating in the local community building. After that we met with the council of Kalaidhoo, they told us about their waste management and agriculture. After drinking some refreshing coconut water we visited the waste management centre in Kalaidhoo, which is currently under construction. After that we visited a local farm where they produced chillies. It was really interesting to start to see the practice of farmers on the island.
