the maldives journal, day 3: Muna's farm flood

On our third day we left Malé and travelled to our final destination: Gan. Upon our arrival, we had an inspiring meeting with the Atoll Council. A group of men who play a mediating role between the government and the island councils. In the evening we sat together for a brainstorm session. We heard about the story of Muna, who is a farmer. Her crops were destroyed by a flooding recently and left her with nothing. She might be able to receive funding to rebuild her farm, but she needs to come up with a plan. We figured we might be able to help her by thinking of possible solutions!
